Yay for Lady Gaga!  I am pretty upset that she didn’t win album of the year, but she was freaking awesome so whatevs. She was nominated for 5 and won 2 Grammys:

Armani designed all her clothes.  She really likes Italian designers since she’s Italian.  Fact.

Gaga is all about the Monsters.  I am totally down with this, being that I call our little red-headed midget friend a little monster always.  His room is monster friendly, and has monster bowling.  Anyway she had a tribute to her fans with this creepy and cool arm piano that she used for her performance with EJ.

Her kick ass Statue of Liberty, Emerald City but in blue looking hat totally rocked.  She was so stoic when Taylor Swift won, but we are convinced she was happy for her.  She doesn’t even care about winning.  She is that cool. And she looked rad.

Gaga Speak:

MUSIC MONDAY: LA ROUX

I just downloaded the La Roux CD after hearing the song Bulletproof. I have been listening to it all day. I just checked my Itunes count and I have listened to it 6 times today. I do that a lot with new music, but this one is really good. I already love Tigerlily and loved Bulletproof instantly. In for the Kill, Quicksand, I’m Not Your Toy and Cover My Eyes. You should all download it, it was only $5 on Amazon.com.

Also every Monday on Urban Outfitters’ blog is Music Monday and you get 5 free downloads. My top pick today is Bodies by Savior Ador, but all of today’s tunes are good. The Pepi Ginsberg track grew on me throughout the day, and Salvation by the Scanners is a little dark, just how I like it.

I am a big fan of Ke$ha’s track Boots and Boys: I mean what’s better? She got me with the song title alone. On a side note to that, I just got a bonus check from work, cha-ching. And guess what??? It was for the price of these boots. Thanks Jessica Simpson for making short girls everywhere seem taller.

GA-GA-OOH-LA-LA

Today I will be giving y'all a peak into my dream life. Over this past week, I have come to the conclusion that in my dream world, I am officially obsessed with Lady GaGa. I have had 3 consecutive dreams in which she is by BFF. The first came on Friday night.... I was on some sort of party boat with a large group of peeps, and Lady GaGa of course. She was in absolute normal clothing, and I just happened to be wearing a Snow White costume. So far so good. The two of us were hanging out drinking beer, and talking about how much we were glad to be friends. This all felt totally normal. And awesome. I woke up feeling happy that Lady GaGa was my BFF. The next night roles around, and what do you know.... another dream cameo from LGG. We were attending a party for the Kardashian sisters and decided that we should bring a cake. We somehow got a hold of a cake in the shape of LGG's face. Again, this was all very normal in our eyes, and apparently everyone else in dream world enjoyed the cake. I woke up the next morning feeling happy again, but starting to feel like a bit of a LGG creeper. I let it pass, and of course tell all of my friends about it. "You are so weird." About what I expected. Then comes night three... last night. My BFF LGG and I head off on an adventure. We are determined to find a micro-piglet. This is something I truly hope for in real life, so this is no surprise that the little piggies make it into my subconscious world. Go piggies! So, we set off to find our new little pork friends. We end up at a pet store that only sells large mammals, like cows and camels. LGG tries to buy me a camel. I refuse because "I don't have room for a camel." She tells me I can keep him at her house. This seems like a grand idea, I agree, and we buy the camel. This is where the dream changes, and warps into a totally different dream that I won't get into at this time. So.... 3 dreams in a row about LGG. I am a freak. I watch her new "Bad Romance" video today and felt like I knew her. Again, freak. (Cool ass video by the way) What does all of this mean? I never even knew I liked LGG this much. If anything I thought my dreams would be about hanging out with Karen O from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Love her, want to be her. But LGG is a badass as well, so I will accept her as my BFF. I told my tree friend that maybe this means I am going to meet her soon. I will keep my eyes peeled for any LGG sightings. Any thoughts or insights into the LGG dream world???

MUSIC MONDAY

Kish Mauve, Black Heart is my new favorite CD.  I heard a song on Gossip Girl, googled the lyrics on my G1 and voila.  New fave CD.  Its not out on a CD yet but you can download the MP3s from Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Kish-Mauve/dp/B000SZ0QN8  “I’m in Love with your Rock and Roll” is playing when Serena and Nate walk in to the card game.

“In my Kitchen” is an uppity poppy song that reminds me of Shakespeare’s Sister.  It kind of reminds me of “Walking on Sunshine,” its fun and makes me think of Kirstie Alley bopping around her kitchen on Look Who’s Talking.

 “Morphine” has lyrics that say “I just wanna get happy….”  How relatable is that.  Follwed by “How can I get rid of you, when you look so good with me.”  I would have to say though my fave line is…  “I am like a stranger walking through my head…”  While I would rather be a stranger in Tim Burton’s head, my own isn’t that bad either.

The whole album has Killers undertones, which I love.  There’s a little vibe of Ashlee Simpson’s first CD in there too.  You should all give it a listen.
